Alun H Brown
has been a CELTA qualified Teacher of English to non-native speakers for over 10 years. He has lived and worked in the UK, Switzerland, Thailand, India and Greece. In recent years, he has specialised in teaching IELTS Academic (the International English Language Testing System) to adults who wish to further their academic careers in English-speaking universities, and has also branched out into proofreading and copy editing.
Alun's background is both British and Swiss. He grew up in the North West of England and has worked in the business, retail and non-profit / charitable sectors as well as in education. He holds an M.A. distinction in Social Anthropology from Bristol University.

Claudia Perez Snead has a B.S. in Architecture from University Rafael Landivar, Guatemala and holds a M.S. in Architecture and Urban Design from National Taipei University of Technology, Taiwan. She also completed mandatory courses for a M.S.in Building Science Technology at the Technical University while living in Vienna, Austria. She is native in Spanish and studying in bilingual schools has brought her to master English at a native level.
Originally from Guatemala, Claudia has traveled the world and lived in America, Taiwan, Austria, and Germany. She has been exposed to different languages and cultures while studying, teaching and working as an architect for international projects, as well as a translator and proofreader for academic texts and independent clients in various fields.

Julie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Languages (with specialization
in French & German) from California State University, Long Beach.
She also has a graduate degree in French and Translation from the University
of Neuchâtel in Switzerland.
A native of northern California, Julie has lived extensively throughout
Europe, including numerous years in Switzerland, and is now residing
in Berlin, Germany. She has an extensive background as a translator,
editor and proofreader of fine arts, pharmaceutical, legal and marketing
texts. Her most recent projects include ongoing collaborations with
various art gallery networks, the U.S. Attorney’s Office and Bayer
Pharmaceuticals, among others.

Cort,
a Californian Native, has completed a BA in European History and minored
in German with his degree from the University of San Francisco, a Jesuit
school. After college, he taught five years of English and did translations
from German to English across 3 continents, including Central America,
Europe, and South-East Asia. In Thailand he furthered his studies in
Asian Economics and culture, and has now lived one year in Vienna, teaching,
translating, and working in a small importing firm with strong relations
to mainland China. |
